Patna: Ban on worship in temples in Sawan, Namaz will be offered at home in Bakrid

Patna: In view of Corona, a ban has been imposed in the worship of temples in the month of Sawan in Bihar. Due to the fear of the third wave of Corona, people are being appealed to be alert. This time Shravani Mela will not be organized and any kind of program related to Sawan Mahotsav has been banned.

Temples will remain closed for common people in Sawan

Akhilesh Kumar Jain, chairman of the Bihar State Religious Trust Board, said that the Bihar government has issued a CD, in which any religious program and its organization have been completely banned till the month of August. The chairman of the State Religious Trust Board has appealed to the common people to offer prayers at their homes. The temple has been kept completely closed for the general public. The priests of the temple will perform puja and aarti only in the morning and evening.

People have been appealed to support the government

Festivals and fairs in the month of Sawan are also prohibited. There has also been a ban on taking Kanwar to the temples. All SDOs, BDOs and COs have been instructed to make elaborate security arrangements in the temples from the first Monday itself. Akhilesh Kumar Jain has appealed to the people that people should support the government like every time, and take care of everyone’s safety.

No permission to offer Namaz in Idgah or Masjid during Bakrid

Let us tell you that the Bihar government has not even given permission to offer Namaz in any Idgah or mosque during Bakrid. People should offer Namaz at their home. Any kind of public function has also been banned.
