New Delhi, June 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on the loss of singer KK. PM Modi expressed his sadness at the unexpected death of acclaimed musician Krishnakumar Kunnath, well known as KK, in a tweet.
“Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti”, tweeted PM Modi.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu also said that his demise is a huge loss to the world of music.
“Anguished by the sudden demise of renowned singer, Shri Krishnakumar Kunnath. Known for his soulful voice and melodious singing Shri KK’s demise is a huge loss to the world of music. Om Shanti!” said Naidu in a tweet.
Last evening, singer KK who was in Kolkata for a concert, died at the age of 53.
After the show, the playback singer fell and was transferred to a private hospital in the city. Around 10 p.m., he was taken dead to Kolkata’s CMRI Hospital, according to hospital officials.
