PM Modi pays last respects to Prakash Singh Badal in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, April 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) office in Chandigarh on Wednesday to pay his last respects to Parkash Singh Badal, former CM of Punjab and a SAD patron.

On Wednesday morning, Badal’s mortal remains were brought to the SAD office in Chandigarh’s Sector 28 for final respects. Party leaders and employees flocked there in great numbers to pay their respects.

On Tuesday, the senior Punjab politician passed away aged 95  at the Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Tomorrow at 1:00 pm, his final rituals will be carried out at his ancestral village Badal.

“With profound grief, we inform you abt the demise of 5-time CM & SAD patron S Parkash Singh Ji Badal. Mortal remains will be placed for paying last respects at SAD office in Chandigarh from 10 am to 12 noon tom following which they will be taken to Vill Badal. Cremation will be held on April 27,” SAD said earlier in a tweet.
