New Delhi, Aug 7: At the Rashtrapati Bhawan Cultural Centre in the nation’s capital on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the seventh meeting of the Governing Council of Niti Aayog.
The Governing Council would be meeting in person for the first time since July 2019 at this time.
Crop diversification, achieving self-sufficiency in oilseeds, pulses, and agri-communities, execution of the National Education Policy for K–12 and higher education, and urban governance are all on the agenda for the summit.
The seventh governing council meeting of the government think tank Niti Aayog is anticipated to pave the way for synergies toward a new age of collaboration and cooperation between the Center and states and union territories in the effort to establish a solid, sustainable, and inclusive India.
An official statement noted that while India celebrates its 75th anniversary of independence, it is urgent for the states to work toward “AatmaNirbhar Bharat” in the spirit of cooperative federalism.
The National Conference of Chief Secretaries, the climax of a rigorous six-month exercise by the Centre and States, was held in Dharamshala in June 2022 as part of preparations for this gathering.
Senior members of the Central and State Governments, as well as the Chief Secretaries of all States and UTs, attended the conference, which was presided over by the Prime Minister.
