Varanasi, Dec 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh from Monday to inaugurate Phase 1 of the newly-constructed Kashi Vishwanath Dham which is constructed at a cost of around Rs 339 crore.
The foundation stone of the project was laid by the Prime Minister on March 8, 2019. The project was designed to provide easy access for the disabled and old age people with the provision of ramps, escalators and other modern facilities.
A total of 23 buildings will be inaugurated in phase 1 of the project. The project involved the purchase and acquisition of more than 300 properties around the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Chief ministers of nine states will be present during the inauguration.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will offer prayers at Kaal Bhaiarav temple, Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi during his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency.
PM Modi will visit the Kaal Bhaiarav temple at around 12 noon whereas he will offer prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple at around 1 pm.
On Tuesday, PM will attend the 98th-anniversary celebrations of Sadguru Sadafaldeo Vihangam Yog Sansthan at Swarved Mahamandir in Varanasi.
