Ranchi: In a tragic incident, Sub-Inspector Anupam Kachchap of the Special Branch was found dead with bullet wounds in Ranchi. His body was discovered around 2 am on the Ring Road in the Kanke police station area, according to authorities.
Kachchap was immediately taken to the state-run Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), where doctors declared him brought dead. Ranchi’s Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Anoop Birtharay confirmed to PTI that Kachchap had sustained two bullet wounds, with the bullets piercing from his backside.
The officer was reportedly returning from a party when the fatal incident occurred, sometime between 12 am and 1 am. “A case has been registered, and a murder investigation has been initiated,” stated DIG Birtharay.
The discovery of Kachchap’s body and the circumstances surrounding his death have shocked the local community and law enforcement agencies. The police are currently investigating the case, and efforts are being made to track down the perpetrators involved in this heinous crime.
