Ranchi, Nov.27: Taking a cue from ‘fight a guerrilla like a guerrilla’ Jharkhand police too resorted to a poster campaign to take on the extremists operating in the state.

This was reflected today at Lohardaga when several posters were pasted at different prominent locations to seek the help of common people in the arrest of extremists associated with the CPI(Maoist), Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), and Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC).

Superintendent of police of the district Priyanka Meena had given the direction for the action. Security personnel comprising officers and jawans of CRPF and district police get the work done. Posters were noticed at different remote locations besides bus stands and block offices.

Through the poster, the police also assured reward to those informing about the extremists and promised to keep the name and identity of the informers secret.

Lohardaga is one of the extremist affected areas of the state. In the Peshrar area of the district once Maoists had done simultaneous blasting in which several CRPF jawans had sustained injuries. Apart from this, incidents of Naxal violence keep on coming from the district.
