Ranchi: As Jharkhand gears up for the first phase of Assembly elections on November 13, polling teams have been deployed for five Assembly constituencies in Ranchi district. The dispatch of polling parties took place on Tuesday from the Morabadi Football Stadium, with each team given a traditional send-off involving symbolic offerings before heading to their designated booths. This first phase will see polling in the constituencies of Tamar, Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, and Mandar, covering a total of 2,085 booths in Ranchi, with 8,340 polling officials on duty. Distribution by constituency includes 1,212 officials in Tamar, 1,496 in Ranchi, 1,984 in Hatia, 1,928 in Kanke, and 1,720 in Mandar.

The voter count in Ranchi district stands at 1,985,583, with 989,802 male and 995,702 female voters. For each constituency, the respective voter totals are 218,637 in Tamar, 379,039 in Ranchi, 526,189 in Hatia, 481,815 in Kanke, and 379,903 in Mandar. In 88 select booths across the district, polling will occur between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., with Tamar hosting 57, Kanke 21, and Mandar 10 of these early voting centers.

The first phase of voting in these key constituencies is expected to be a crucial step in determining Jharkhand’s legislative future, and with a robust polling infrastructure in place, officials are optimistic about a smooth and secure voting process.
