While taking charge from Vanan, the new senior SP said that the policing in a city like Jamshedpur remains full of challenges, but he asserted that he would try to give his best in meeting the aspirations of the administration as well as the people here during his service in the district.
“Though I have good experience of policing in steel city as well as in the district’s rural areas due to his earlier postings, I will have to spend some time in grasping the current situation as time might have changed a lot during this period,” said Kumar while speaking during the charge-taking formalities at the SSP office.
He said he would carry forward the good people-oriented works that his predecessor had initiated like improving road safety aspects and combating cyber criminals, but maintaining law and order will remain his priority.

Vanan who was promoted as DIG has been entrusted as DIG (CID) claimed he is satisfied in his stint as senior SP, Jamshedpur.
“Except for one or two cases, all the criminal cases were solved during my period here. In many cases, the offenders were convicted also. And this all could be done due to excellent team won and support of the people, ” observed Vanan while speaking during the occasion.
The erstwhile SSP deplored that he could not detect the case of Rs 32 lakh loot in Bistupur despite concerted effort.
