Preparations for Republic Day parade in full swing at Ranchi

Ranchi, Jan 20: Ranchi District administration is busy making last-minute preparations for the tableau to be taken out on January 26 on Republic Day function at Morhabadi ground in the state capital.

This year, only 10 tableaux will be taken out in the Republic Day celebrations to be celebrated in Ranchi.  These 10 tableaux will be taken out by different departments.

Only 10 artists will participate in a tableau.  Instructions have been given to remove these tableaux following social distancing.

At the same time, platoons of Army, CRPF, CISF, SSB, ZAP-1, ZAP-2, ZAP 10, District Armed Forces (Men), District Armed Forces (Female), NDRF and Fire Brigade will participate in the parade while school children like Scott and Guide will not be involved this year.

 

 

The 10 departments including Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation; Forest Environment Department; Rural Development Department; Home Care and Disaster Management Department; School Education and Literacy Department; Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department; Information and Public Relations Department; Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Department of Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare and Khadi Village Industries Board will prepare tableaux.

In view of the corona infection, the Chief Secretary has issued several guidelines for the special function of this day not only in Ranchi but across the state including no cultural programs, people above the age of 60 and below the age of 18 will not be able to participate in the ceremony, only Army, CRPF and JAP Band will participate in the parade.

It will be mandatory for people to wear masks at the venue.  A distance of two yards will be followed between the chairs for the guests to sit.  Along with this, a medical camp will also be set up at the site.
