Daltonganj, June 9: The Particularly vulnerable tribal group (PVTG) is very sore. It’s all because they live in forests, and the government officials refuse to issue them their caste and residential certificates.

At the Nawadeeh interactive session of Governor C P Radhakrishnan with the PVTG, on the second day of the last leg of his tour programme, this tribal group was up on their feet demanding issuance of the caste certificate and residential certificate which are denied to them just for their dwelling in the forest and on the forest land.

Those who have land patta also face this problem but those who have no document to prove their living in the jungles face acute and severe problems with these two vital certificates of caste and residence.

The Governor assured the PVTG of finding out ways and means to bail them out of this issue.

Earlier in the day, the Governor gave away cheques worth 1L each to the two families of Polpol in Palamu whose bread earners were electrocuted recently in Dhanbad while erecting poles by the side of the railway tracks there.

DC Anjaneyulu Dodde was directed by the Governor to engage one member each of the two families in any contractual job that commensurates with their educational qualification.
