Professional skills development important for job market: CUJ VC

CUJ started 8-weeks Professional SKill Development Programme for Students

Ranchi, Feb 9: The Central University of Jharkhand started 8-week Professional Skill Development Programme for Students on Thursday. While inaugurating the programme, Prof. Kshiti Bhusan Das, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jharkhand said that Professional Skills Development is important for Job Market. Students should take this opportunity and fine tune their skills for getting best job offers.

He further added that skill speaks louder than the degree. So, he asked the students to upgrade the skills as per the needs of the 21st century and aspirations of the nation.

Under this programme, faculties from the University and industry experts would share their insights on requirements of the industry and accordingly students would be groomed to improve their skills.

On this occassion, Prof. Manoj Kumar, Dean Academics Affairs and Dr. D B Lata, Chief Placement Officer joined Prof. Das on the dias. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp and floral offerings to the picture of Goddess Saraswati. Other University officials, Deans, Heads, Professors, and Students were also present during this programme.

Dr. D. B. Lata, Chief Placement Officer gave a brief about the Training and Placement Cell. He also introduced the modalities of training programme and names of the speakers who would be sharing their expertise.

Dean, Academic Affairs, Prof Manoj Kumar appreciated the efforts of the Training and Placement cell and wish them best.

The programme started with the welcome by Dr. Sudarshan Yadav, Training and Placement Officer. The vote of thanks was given by Training and Placement Officer, Dr. Bhaskar Singh. Dr. Nitesh Bhatia, Training and Placement Officer was also present during this programme.
