Jammu, Oct 8: On Friday, Jammu and Kashmir peoples forum staged a protest in Jammu against Pakistan over the killing of two teachers by terrorists in Srinagar, yesterday. The protest took place after the mortal remains of Supinder Kaur were taken for the last rites.
“We want justice” and “ The Resistance Front”(TRF) slogans were raised during the funeral procession in Srinagar. A large number of people of the Sikh community attended the funeral of Supinder Kaur. Notably, Supinder Kaur was killed in yesterday’s targeted killing by terrorists in Srinagar. Supinder Kaur was the wife of RP Singh, a resident of Alochi Bagh, Srinagar, and was the principal of a government school.
“We don’t know whether it is the end of the militant or the beginning of a more gruesome indecent. The government must look into the matter and work on the safety of the people living here”, said a local who participated in the funeral.
Reacting to the killing, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh said that the civilians are being targeted to create communal tension in the Union Territory.
In the last five days, 7 civilians have been killed in the Valley, out of which 6 have been killed in the city.
