Protest in Ranchi against ‘mob lynching’ in Hazaribagh

Ranchi, Feb.11: A section of youths today staged a demonstration at Albert Ekka Chowk in Jharkhand capital against ‘mob lynching’ of a resident in Barhi in Hazaribagh, Rupesh Kumar Pandey, following a  group clash over use of DJ during movement of immersion procession.

The protest was led by Bhairav Singh, the same who was earlier arrested for attacking the cavalcade of chief minister Hemant Soren on Harmu Bypass Road while protesting against the brutal murder of a lady. Police later cracked the case.

Contacted superintendent of police of Hazaribagh, Manoj Ratan, regarding breakthrough in the murder case in Hazaribagh, he said ‘as many as five have been arrested in the connection so far and further investigation is on.’

 

 A group clash had taken place in Dulmaha village under Barhi subdivision. Apart from the death of Pandey, two sustained injuries.
