Chandigarh, July 7: The wedding of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur took place on Thursday, one day after a secret wedding announcement.

As per the customary Anand Karaj, the marriage took place in a Gurdwara in accordance with Sikh traditions.
Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi and the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, attended the wedding and gave the happy couple his blessing.
Raghav Chaddha, an AAP legislator who attended the celebrations as well, posted images of the event.
“I have come here with my mother…I wholeheartedly congratulate Mann Sahab and his family on this special occasion,” he said.
Before the 48-year-old Mann wed Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, a resident of Pehowa in Haryana’s Kurukshetra, strict security measures were put in place at the chief minister’s residence in Chandigarh.
