Moscow, March 11: Russian President Vladimir Putin approves bringing volunteer fighters from the Middle East and elsewhere to join Russia’s war in Ukraine.
Moscow said the fighters would include those who fought the Islamic State group, a clear reference to the war in Syria.
“If you see that there are people who want on a voluntary basis (to help east Ukraine’s separatists), then you need to meet them halfway and help them move to combat zones,” Putin told Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu.
