New Delhi, Oct 25: As the yatra enters Day 50, the Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress Party, led by party chief Rahul Gandhi, will recommence in Mehbubnagar, Telangana On October 27. On October 31, Rahul Gandhi will speak to the media.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra has now travelled 1,230 kilometres (1,230 miles), stopping in 18 districts across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. In Telangana, the yatra would travel through eight districts in 11 days before travelling through Nanded to enter Maharashtra.
The average distance travelled by Congress leaders and participants in the Bharat Jodo is 21 kilometres. While meeting with Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, members of several organisations brought up issues relating to farmers, unemployment, the MSME sector, and price increases. So far, Rahul Gandhi has been accompanied by walkers from almost 50 different organisations.
On September 7, the Bharat Jodo Yatra kicked off in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. Before starting the Telangana part of the yatra, Gandhi finished the marathon walk in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
