Ramgarh: 105 newly trained recruits of course 100 take vows to serve country at Sikh Regimental Centre

Ramgarh: A gala oath-taking ceremony was held at Harbaksh Singh drill square of The Sikh Regimental Centre, Ramgarh Cantt on Thursday.

105 newly trained recruits of course 100 took their vows to do and die for the country in the presence of the national flag and Shri Guru Granth Sahib. They presented a valiant march past with the marching tunes and beats of the most decorated Regimental band.

 

 

The Ceremonial Parade was witnessed by the serving Officers, JCOs, OR, families and various other guests of Ramgarh Cantt. Colonel Kumar Ranvijay, Sena Medal, Officiating Commandant of the Sikh Regimental Centre was the chief guest and reviewed the parade.

The passing out parade was led by Rect Gurpreet Singh. The Adjutant of Parade Major Prateek Lakra pronounced their oath

The zeal and enthusiasm of the smartly dressed recruits soon to become soldiers of this great regiment, which has a rich tradition of valour and sacrifice was praiseworthy.

On this occasion, the Officiating Commandant presented medals to Sep Gulwinder Singh adjudged Best Firer; Sep Vijaypal Singh- Best in Physical, Best in Bayonet Fighting and Overall Second Best; Sep Gurpreet Singh- Best in Drill, Best in Academics and Overall Best.

Later, the Officiating Commandant congratulated the young soldiers for their excellent Standards of Parade.

Afterwards, a Continuity Drill was also displayed by the newly trained soldiers of the Sikh Regiment.
