Ramgarh, June 24: A meeting was organized in the Ramgarh District Collectorate meeting hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Kumar Sinha on Friday regarding the leprosy investigation campaign in the district from July 1 to July 14, 2022.
During the meeting, State Consultant NLR Jharkhand Dr Siddhartha and Coordinator NLR Jharkhand Ranchi Kashinath Chakraborty informed that given the leprosy patients who have come up in Ramgarh district in the last few years, the state government has decided to decrease the number of cases in the district.
It has been decided to conduct a leprosy investigation campaign from July 1 to July 14.
DDC Nagendra Kumar Sinha instructed to survey each house by fully trained personnel. For this, he directed all the in-charge medical officers to prepare a micro plan and apprise it to the district administration while meeting at the block level as soon as possible.
The DDC also directed all the in-charge medical officers to check the work regularly by reviewing the works to ensure the successful conduct of the campaign.
He also asked the officials to make wide publicity regarding the investigation campaign in remote areas of the district and make people aware of it before the start of the investigation campaign.
During the meeting, President Zilla Parishad Sudha Devi said, “All the officers should contribute their best in the successful organization of the campaign.”
President, Municipal Council Yugesh Bedia asked to clear the misconceptions related to leprosy in rural areas.
Ramgarh Civil Surgeon Dr Prabhat Kumar and District Leprosy Prevention Officer Dr Swaraj gave necessary instructions to the in-charge medical officers while giving information about the preparations made given the successful organization of the campaign.
