Ramgarh athlete wins bronze in Para National Swimming Championship

Ramgarh, Nov 17:  Specially abled athlete Jitendra Patel, a resident of Lari Chitarpur block under Ramgarh district, won a bronze medal in the 22nd Para National Swimming Championship. 

Ramgarh District Civil Surgeon Prabhat Kumar, District Sports Officer Rupa Tirkey, Youth Social Worker Vijay Mewar, Director of Divyang Parivartan Foundation Md Athar Ali, Sandeep Karmali honoured him by presenting bouquets and salutations.  

Many disabled players from Jharkhand participated in the competition organised in Guwahati, out of which Harilal Tudu of Deoghar won silver, Jitendra Patel from Ramgarh won bronze in freestyle 50 meters. 

Till now, Jitendra Patel has won 6 medals in this competition.  He said that this program was very successful for him and will try to do better in future. He thanked everyone for encouraging him.
