Ramgarh: Bhurkunda OP files case of molestation of minor, accused absconding

Ramgarh, Nov 6: A case of molestation of a minor girl has come to light in Bhurkunda. The family members of the victim have lodged a case at the Bhurkunda OP.

As per information, the accused has absconded after the incident. Meanwhile, after receiving information, the police have begun investigation in the matter.

The victim’s father, a resident of Mahatma Gandhi High School Road, said that he works in a hotel in Pithoriya.  His two daughters live in their house on Mahatma Gandhi High School Road for years.

Notably, on October 28, the father along with his elder daughter had gone to a cultural programme at Ram Navami Maidan to celebrate Kali Puja at Ram Navami Maidan.

Meanwhile, his twelve-year-old younger daughter was sleeping alone in the house. After the programme, when returned to his house at around 12.30 pm, local resident Md. Dastgir Khan was inside the house trying to sexually abuse the child.

On seeing the girl’s father and sister, the accused started running away. The girls and the father started calling out the accused and shouting as he ran, which led to several people gathering around the house. However, no one was able to catch the accused that dodged all and was successful in escaping.
