Ramgarh: Couple assaulted on allegations of witchcraft practice

Ramgarh, Oct 9: A couple in Khapia Joba Tola, located in Baridih Panchayat of Barkakana OP area appealed for justice on Sunday.  The couple has filed a complaint regarding an assault in the name of witchcraft accusations in the OP against five accused.

According to the information, Bhukhwa Nayak’s father Biga Nayak and his wife Golki Devi have accused five people in the village. The victim complained that the accused assaulted them claiming that they practiced witchcraft.

Notably, sources have claimed that a few days ago there was a settlement in the OP. However, despite this, the couple is being continuously harassed and beaten up.  The police are investigating the matter and saying that strict action will be taken against the culprits. The accused include Bhubaneswar Nayak, Babulal Nayak, Jagmohan Nayak, Bhavish Nayak and Kuldeep Nayak.
