Ramgarh: Cracks reported in several houses in Ghato, Tata Steel takes safety measures

Ramgarh, Jan 12: Few cracks have been reported in several houses and land away from Tata Steel West Bokaro’s mining operations and near settlement areas, said Tata Steel in a press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the company continues to investigate the matter and has notified the concerned authorities about the incident.

As a precautionary safety measure, the company is evacuating everyone living nearby and shifting them to the company`s West Bokaro housing complex. The situation is being closely monitored and all the necessary assistance is being provided to the local communities and district authorities. As a responsible corporate citizen, Tata Steel is committed to the safety and well-being of all stakeholders.

As per information, the incident of a loud land explosion occurred in the West Bokaro of Ramgarh district on Wednesday night. Sailesh Saw’s house, which was in temporary housing near a local training camp, the floor started cracking with a loud sound. The family was awakened by the noise. The walls of the house collapsed. The family left home immediately.
