Ramgarh: Kuju Police recover 50 kg of banned meat, two bikes seized

Ramgarh, Oct 16: Kuju OP Police have recovered 50 kg of banned meat in Karma Kuju area of Ramgarh district on Sunday.  Two bikes have also been confiscated from the spot. People smuggling the banned meat fled on seeing police.

Kuju Op in-charge Dhananjay Prasad had secret information that there is a plan to supply banned meat in huge quantity to a residence in Karma. Taking quick action, the police raided the said residence. During the raid, the police recovered about 50 kg of banned meat from a room in the residence. The bike numbers JS 09 AY 4024 and JH 24B 2260 were also seized from the spot.

On seeing the police, the sellers and buyers of the meat escaped from behind the house.  Prasad said that the matter is being investigated and legal action will be taken against the guilty.

Police are also trying to find out further information about the suppliers to identify a timeline of the business. The owners of the bikes are being identified, while the police are trying to identify the house owner. The meat was kept in three sacks and a bag in the house.
