Ramgarh panchayats organise programs on World Toilet Day

Ramgarh, Nov 19: On the occasion of the World Toilet Day, programs were organized in various panchayats of the district by the Drinking Water and Sanitation Division, Ramgarh, on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ramgarh Madhavi Mishra.

Widely publicized on various components of ODF Plus among community members to facilitate behavior change and initiate desirable actions and practices for promotion of solid and liquid waste management in Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) Phase 2.

For awareness, on the occasion of World Toilet Day, cleanliness oath, cleanliness run, seminar and other programs were organized in various panchayats. During the program, people were made aware of cleanliness by the local newly elected public representatives, sportspersons, etc., while in making the program successful, the sanitation workers, members of self-help groups, ASHA workers, volunteers, youth, school children and local folk artists, among others made their significant contribution.

World Toilet Day CDO DWSD Ranchi Executive Engineer Sunil Kumar, Executive Engineer- Drinking Water Sanitation Division Ramgarh Rajesh Ranjan, Assistant Engineer- Shiv Kumar Dinkar, SLWM State Consultant UNICEF Jharkhand Ranchi Sanjay Kumar Pandey, District Lead, UNICEF Supported Wash team Ramgarh Ghanshyam Sah, UNICEF supported team Ramgarh, Nirbhay Kumar and Varun Kumar, inspected the programs organized in various panchayats of the district and made people aware about cleanliness and making the country open defecation free.
