Ramgarh: Senior advocate Jyoti Prasad Thakur passes away

Ramgarh, May 9:  The senior advocate of Ramgarh District Advocates association Jyoti Prasad Thakur died suddenly on Sunday night due to cardiac arrest.  His last rites were performed today at his residence at Mandu Ghat.

District Advocates Association President Anand Agarwal, former President Banshidhar Gope, Arvind Kumar Gupta, Ashutosh Kumar, Kanhai Sharma, Manohar Thakur, Virendra Karmali and other advocates were present during the last rites.

According to his friends and family, Jyoti Prasad was a friendly, sweet-spoken and law-abiding lawyer.

Advocates paid tribute to him saying that this is an irreparable loss for the District Advocates Association.

A condolence meeting was also organized on the Advocate Association premises today. The advocate companions kept themselves away from the court work after the meeting.
