Ranchi: Cold Intensifies Gradually, Temperature Drops to 12.4°C

Ranchi: Winter has started to set in across Ranchi and other parts of Jharkhand, with the night temperature gradually decreasing. On Friday, Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 12.4°C and a maximum of 25.2°C, indicating a noticeable chill. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures are expected to continue dropping. Dense fog and severe cold are predicted to begin in December.

On Friday, Ranchi experienced a mix of sunlight and intermittent clouds throughout the day, adding to the chilly atmosphere.

Light Fog Predicted for the Next 4 Days

The Meteorological Department forecasts light to moderate fog in the morning hours for the next three to four days, with the minimum temperature expected to hover around 13°C.

Statewide Temperature Updates

On Friday, Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 29.0°C and a minimum of 15.0°C, while Daltonganj observed 27.7°C and 12.5°C, respectively. Bokaro registered 26.5°C and 13.5°C, and Chaibasa recorded 29.4°C and 13.0°C. In Deoghar, temperatures were 28.1°C and 14.2°C, and Garhwa noted the lowest minimum temperature at 10.9°C. Seraikela experienced a maximum of 30.0°C and a minimum of 14.5°C.
