Ranchi, July 21: The National Investigative Agency (NIA) will interrogate suspected ISIS terrorist Faizan Ansari for seven days.
The NIA court permitted for the same after the probe agency sought permission filing a remand petition.
Faizan, who the national probe agency arrested on Thursday from Lohardaga, was in contact with ISIS agents of the country and abroad through the DARKNET. Much digital evidence has been recovered from Ansari’s possession which suggests his link with the terrorist organization.
He has been staying in Lohardaga for the last two months and was active in Islamic Jihad from his home. The NIA team was keeping an eye on him for the last one week. Ansari was arrested after the central investigative agencies got concrete information about him being a sleeper cell of the terrorist organization.
