Ranchi, April 20: A Ranchi court convicted Mohammed Shamshad alias Chapta and Mohemmed Tabrez alias Chamra for killing Sonu Imroz.

Additional judicial commissioner Vishal Srivastava passed the order this morning concluding the trial in the murder case that hogged limelight in the Jharkhand capital four years ago.

One Shaquil was also accused in the case. The Court, however,  acquitted him due to lack of sufficient evidence.

An FIR was lodged in this connection on November 4, 2018 at Daily Market police station in the Jharkhand capital. There were five also named in the FIR but the city police let them off finding nothing against them and filed a charge sheet against only three.

Sunil Pandey was defence advocate in the case while Syed Tanveer was prosecution lawyer.

Sonu Imroz also had a criminal background. He was killed when he was enlarged on bail.

Thus Imroz was murdered in broad day light near the Taxi stand and his relatives pointed finger on police also.
