Ranchi district administration receives 1,34,585 applications for scholarship

Ranchi, Oct 23: As many as 1,34,585 students of Ranchi have been registered till now for the scholarship through the e-Kalyan portal. The last date to apply on the portal is October 25 after which the applicants will be verified and the amount will be transferred to their respective bank account.

The pre-matric and post-matric scholarships are awarded by the Welfare Department, Government of Jharkhand to the meritorious students of SC, ST, and backward classes. There are some conditions that need to be fulfilled to avail e-Kalyan Jharkhand scholarship 2021, such as the family income of the student should be less than 2.5 lakh per annum, etc. 

Students can apply for the Jharkhand scholarship form 2021 from the official website ekalyan.cgg.gov.in. To apply for the scholarship 2021 Jharkhand students need to submit a domicile certificate, income certificate, Adhaar card, and other vital documents scanned copy.

District Welfare officer Sangita Sharan said that about Rs 11 crore will be transferred to the registered students after scrutiny in their respective bank account.

“Pre-matric applicants have to submit the physical form and post-matric forms can be filled through the website ekalyan.cgg.gov.in,” she said.

The last date of verification by the educational institution for the application of students for the scholarship is October 30.

Scholarships are applied online by the students on the e-Kalyan portal. The online applications are verified by the educational institution. The list of verified students is taken in the office. The application verified by the educational institution is received online at the dealing assistant level. If the application of students at the dealing assistant level and desired documents are found correct, those applications are forwarded online to the District Welfare Officer level. Random checks are carried out at the DWO level and are forwarded to the Account Section. After finally approved by the Account Section, the amount is withdrawn from the treasury by preparing a bill for the withdrawal of the scholarship. After withdrawal, the scholarship amount is paid to the Aadhar seeded students through Public Financial Management System in their account.
