Ranchi, June 18: A 17-year-old girl Shweta Singh and her 14-year-old brother Pravin Kumar Singh were stabbed to death while their mother Chanda Singh (40) sustained injuries after a youth attacked them.

The incident took place in Janak Nagar Road no 4 near Ojha Market under Pandra PS.

Chanda Singh is undergoing treatment at RIMS and is reported to be critical.

Husband of the lady, Sanjiv Kumar Singh, works out of the country and was not present at the time of the incident.

An FSL team has been called to the PO for investigation. Police recovered the blade of a knife from the place of occurrence.

Preliminary information suggests that the incident is the outcome of the relationship between the deceased girl and a boy. However, the police are probing other angles also.
