Ranchi, Feb 14: A youth, former student of J N College, Dhurva was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his house in Sector 2 of the Jagannathpur police station area on Monday morning.
Identified as Saurav Tiwari, former student union president of JN College, was found hanging from a fan in his room by his relatives on Monday, said A K Singh, police station in-charge, Jagannathpur police station.
Singh further added, ‘When found, Tiwari was taken to the hospital by family members, where he was declared dead. We were informed by the family and reached the spot as soon as possible.’
After getting the information, the police of Jagannathpur police station reached the spot, registered a case and took the body in possession. The body has been sent to RIMS for a post-mortem. Police have not found any suicide note yet.
“The post mortem will let us know whether it is suicide or any foul play is involved. The investigation will then move forward as per the findings,” said Singh.
