Ranchi: Gossner College preps for entrepreneurship awareness drive on Oct 15

Ranchi, Oct 14: An entrepreneurship awareness drive is to be organised being organized on October 15 under the joint aegis of the Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Kharagpur and venue partner Gossner College, Ranchi.

Ankit Kumar Soni, Shamik Saha, and Deeptendu Sarkar of the IIT Kharagpur Entrepreneurship Cell were present at a press conference organised for the same on Friday.

Ankit Kumar, while addressing the media, said that the main objective of this awareness drive is to spread the startup culture and global business model (EMPRESARIO) to the new generation.

 

 

Shamik Saha said, “Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive is an important programme of IIT Kharagpur which is organised in 25 to 30 cities across India. In this programme, businessmen and entrepreneurs visit and motivate the students as well as give information about their success.”

Diptendu Sarkar informed on the occasion that EMPRESARIO is a Global Business Model Competition, wherein startups from India as well as other countries participate.

Principal Prof Ilani Purti said that the new generation would benefit from the programme and learn to move towards self-reliance.

HOD Prof Vinay Kumar Hansdak of the BBA Department said, “Many colleges of Ranchi including St Xavier’s Ranchi, BIT Mesra, IIM Ranchi, Amity University, Nirmala College, Women’s College, Marwari College, St Paul will be participating in the programme.

GB member Bishop Murel Billung, Bursar Prof Asha Rani Kerketta, Prof Praveen Surin, Prof Umesh Kumar Yadav, Prof Sushil Kumar, Prof Mahima Golden Billung and students of the BBA department were present.
