Ranchi, Sept 4: The Bhagwan Mahaveer Medica Superspeciality Hospital and ‘Centre for Ophthalmic Research and Training’ (CORT) on Sunday organised a felicitation ceremony for the trainees of the first batch of skill development programme conducted by the two institutions.

Distinguished guests from Bangalore Pushpalatha MS (Co-Founder cum Director, Garbhagudi IVF Center & CEO Startist Pvt. Ltd.) and Hari Srinivasan (Co Founder, Director cum CEO, Garbhagudi IVF Centre) trained Jyothi at their institute and provided her with an offer letter for posting at their organisation. Jyoti is raised by a single parent, her mother who herself works in an orphanage named ‘Karuna’.

AVP Anil Kumar and GM Manish Gurudatta, Medica Hospital, Ranchi, encouraged the participants of the training programme and assured that they would be given preference in future if employment opportunities in Medica Hospital are available.

Dr. Anand Srivastava, advisor, Medica Hospital Group, said that this ambitious programme of skill development would not have been possible without Dr. Anindya Anuradha, in-charge of the Department of Ophthalmology. This programme will play an important role in making the children trained here self-reliant in future, he further added.

Many dignitaries including Dr Harshita Dabral, Dr Tapas Sahu, Dr Dhanendra Bandhe, Jain Samaj President Puranmal Jain and Padmachand Jain were present at the function.

Notably, this one-year skill training programme started last year i.e. in 2021, under which, underprivileged students of Jharkhand are given training in soft skills, computer applications and English.
