Ranchi, March 21: Four days after the gruesome murder of the wife of a bank official in Ashok Nagar, police failed to arrest anyone in this connection.
Officer-in-charge of Argora police station, Vinod Kumar, admitted the delay saying the breakthrough will come soon.
“Very soon the criminal will be identified and arrested,” Kumar said, confirming the delay.
Malambika Sinha (70), elderly wife of the retired zonal manager of State Bank of India, Vijay Sinha, was stabbed to death in the posh locality of Jharkhand capital when she was alone.
Circumstantial evidence suggests that the killer was known to the lady as before they killed the lady they had flattened rice and gud. After having Chura and Gud one of the three youths asked the lady to hand over the keys of lockers and almirah. When she refused they slit her throat and stabbed her stomach.
Like elderly lady’s murder case, mystery of dead body of a Ramedesivir black marketing accused Rakesh Ranjan lying on the ground floor of Mangalam Enclave in old Pundag Road under the same police station has also been not been solved so far.
Deceased’s son from his first wife, Ronit Ranjan, registered a case of murder in this connection making his stepmother Preeti Ranjan an accused while Preeti pleaded innocence saying her husband committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the apartment due to extreme mental pressure.
On which OC Kumar said that it will take time to solve the case.
“As the deceased is an accused in the Remdesivir black market case the matter has become complicated. Police have to probe all angles before coming to any conclusion. The death took place by fall. But how he fell needs proper investigation and verification of all aspects including conspiracy and human psychology besides others,” OC Kumar said.
