Ranchi: RKDF University places 57 students of 2019-2022 sessions in several companies

University also invites applications for admission in B Tech courses

Ranchi, Sept 9: The RKDF University in Ranchi has placed a total of 57 students of the session 2019-2022 under its placement programme in various companies. Notably, the university offers a varied range of courses in B Tech, BA, BBA and MBA programmes.

Among the students selected include 32 from the department of BBA Hotel Management, nine from MBA, three from Diploma in EEE, two from BCA, one from Diploma in ME, one from Diploma in Engineering CSE, one from MSc Biotech, one from Diploma in Agriculture and one from B Comm.

While talking to Lagatar24.com, sources at the university said, “We have our placement camp still undergoing, however, we provide 100 per cent placement in all our programmes including B Tech, MBA and even BBA.”

The source further revealed that the university has already placed several students of the MBA, BBA and BA programmes in various organisations. When questioned about the B Tech students, it was revealed that the first batch is yet to complete all its semesters.

At present, the students of session 2019-22 have received placements in organisations such as La Renon Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Concentrix, Venky Venkateshwar Hatchery, Shopper’s Stop, CRTD Industries, Urban Brava, The Leela Ambience, Courtyard Mariott, Sheraton Grand, Dabur, and Reliance among others.

Meanwhile, the university has also invited applications for admissions in the B Tech courses that it offers. The several programmes include B Tech in Mining Engineering, B Tech in Mechanical Engineering, B Tech in Civil Engineering, B Tech in Computer Science in Engineering, and B Tech in Electrical and Engineering.

While talking in this regard, University Registrar said, “As per UGC norms, we admit students not only on the basis of their JEE ranks but also their marks in 12th PCM. The cut-off for the general quota is 45 per cent in PCM, while the same is for 40 per cent for students of the SC St categories.”

When questioned about the reason for not only depending on the ranks of JEE Mains, he said, “For students that could not score a very good rank and now also want to stay near home, we even provide the opportunity of direct admissions in the university in case of empty seats.”
