Ranchi SSP suspends Pandra OC for corruption

Ranchi, June 6: Senior superintendent of police S K Jha suspended Pandra police outpost in-charge Chintu Kumar nearly a month after it was alleged that he illegally detained a tribal at the outpost and allowed him to go only after accepting a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh. It is also alleged that the in-charge Kumar also beat the tribal.

 

Apart from this, SSP Jha also removed the officer-in-charge of Budmu and Bundu police stations including Manob Mayank and Archana Kumari and directed them to report at the police lines following allegations of corruption against them.

 

With this action, the charge of Pandra OP has been given to Chandra Shekhar. Charges of Bundu and Budmu police stations have been given to Vinita Kumari and Kamlesh Rai respectively.
