Ranchi, July 19: The minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department Badal Patralekh said that a Model Animal Hospital would soon be opened in Ranchi which will have all facilities, including presence of veterinarian 24×7 for the cattle owners.
He said this while inaugurating the newly constructed Animal Husbandry Directorate building and Pet Clinic 24×7 under Hesag, Hatia on Tuesday.
Moreover, he also inaugurated a workshop to make the livestock owners, public representatives etc. aware of the activities of animal husbandry. He said that the service of the pet clinic has been started immediately at District Animal Husbandry Office, Ranchi to provide 24×7 medical facilities to the cattle owners.
On this occasion, assets were distributed by the minister to some selected beneficiaries under the schemes of poultry and ducks. In the last one year, he distributed appointment letters to the employees appointed compassionately.
The minister informed about the technical aspects of the operation of Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana. He assured cooperation for awareness in rural areas.
In the program, he also released a booklet of rules and regulations related to animal husbandry-related subjects like poultry, goat rearing, swine rearing and the State Animal Welfare Board for the cattle rearers of the state.
The development of integrated agriculture and animal husbandry and its benefits were highlighted in the program by Sharad Kumar Jha, Counselor, England.
Dr NK Jha, Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Dr Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director, Department of Gavya, Special Secretary Pradeep Hazari, Director of Fisheries HN Dubey, Joint Director (Kus) Dr Manoj Kumar and other officials were present at the program.
