Ranchi: Villagers are slowly but steadily achieving self-reliance, says MNREGA Commissioner

Ranchi, Dec 22: MNREGA commissioner Rajeshwari B, while addressing the villagers of Nagri, said that seeing the enthusiasm of the villagers of Saher, it seems that they all are moving towards development. Along with this, the Ranchi district will emerge as the right example for the entire state. 

She appreciated the general public for making these works successful. Along with this, the self-confidence of the villagers will also increase to move forward in this direction. She encouraged the villagers to join the schemes of MNREGA along with farming. 

She said that the enthusiasm of the villagers towards the schemes run under MNREGA and the yearning for change full of confidence is commendable.

Moreover, Medha Milk Dairy Project was also inspected by the MNREGA commissioner during her visit to Nagdi block. Information about the health and milk production and sale of milch animals was taken by the MNREGA commissioner. 

She also took detailed information about the biogas plant. Along with this, the MNREGA commissioner was told that the participation of women in MNREGA should be increased as much as possible and they should get a chance to do more work.

She also observed the Birsa Green Village Scheme in Saher village of Nagdi block. Under Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, there are about 500 mangoes, banana and papaya plants and about 3,000 teak, rosewood and gumhar plants. She took information from the villagers about the works done under the Birsa Green Scheme and also encouraged them.
