Ranchi: XISS gets 65.04 percent placement with highest CTC of Rs 20.50 lakhs

Institute organises ‘Samvad 3.0’ media interaction with the press fraternity

Ranchi, Dec 20: The Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi has had a placement of 65.04% with the highest placement of Rs 20.50 Lakhs during the first phase of placements for the batch 2021-23, as informed by Dr Amar E Tigga, Dean Academics of XISS.

Notably, XISS on Tuesday organised ‘Samvad 3.0’, where they had an interaction with the media representatives. The XISS management informed the media about their future plans, while the media personnel were asked for their feedback and suggestions.

Tigga further informed of the highest CTCs offered in placements in departments. He said, “Human Resource Management (HRM) has placed 83.82 per cent of students with the highest CTC of 20.50 lakhs. Rural Management (RM) has placed 58.73 per cent of students with the highest CTC of 13.00 lakhs.”

“Meanwhile, Financial Management (FM) has placed 58.18 per cent of students with the highest CTC of 17.50 lakhs, while Marketing Management (MM) has placed 56.67 per cent of students with the highest CTC of 13.65 lakhs,” he added.

Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur, SJ, Director, XISS thanked the media for the extensive coverage of the events throughout the year of all the academic and non-academic events. He spoke on the goals of the institute.

He said, “Our vision is different from other B-schools, and we would not allow it to be diluted. After achieving the NBA accreditation, XISS would like to expand its academic field which includes 6 months of Certificate Courses on Strategic CSR Management and Digital Marketing among others.”

He further informed me about the status of the new XISS university campus as he mentioned that a land task force has also been assigned. He also mentioned that several other events are lined up in the new year of 2023.

Dr Pradeep Kerketta SJ, Assistant Director, XISS, thanked the media houses for being in constant touch with XISS. He offered them extensive help in different specialities provided by the institute whenever they require it.

Mentioning the roles of the media he said, “The role of the media is very big. Its role should not be just of profit making but also about sharing the news of social responsibility”.

A Model United Nations (MUN) conference, was also conducted in the event of ‘Samvad 3.0’, where Dr Amar Tigga and Rajeev Gupta, Curator, TedxKanke were the jury members. The winner was Aduiti Shreya, 1st runner up was Kumar Sanket and 2nd runner up was Swapneel Verma. 

A Photography and Reel Making competition was also organised which was judged by the media personnel. Here the winner was Hrithik Kundu, 1strunner up was Shruti Sahay and 2ndrunner up was Anjali.
