Ranji Trophy: Kerala beats Jharkhand at home by 85 runs

Ranchi, Dec 16: Kerala defeated Jharkhand by 85 runs during the Ranji Trophy group stage match held at JSCA international stadium in Ranchi. Chasing a target of 323, Jharkhand was bundled out for just 237.

The Kerala team declared their second innings at 187 for 7 on day four of the match. While chasing, Jharkhand lost both the openers Kishan and Nazim for 22 and 17.

Skipper, Virat Singh, senior batter Saurabh Tiwary and wicketkeeper Kushagra played crucial innings for Jharkhand but could not take their team over the line.

Kerala’s Vaisakh Chandran and Jalaj Saxena were the star performers with the ball as they took five and four wickets each.
