New Delhi, June 29: Shiv Sena MLAs are on their way from Guwahati, where they have been camping out for the past few days in opposition to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, to Goa. The Taj Convention Goa, where 71 rooms have supposedly been reserved, is where they’ll probably stay.
Eknath Shinde, the leader of the rebel Shiv Sena, announced on Wednesday that he will arrive in Mumbai on Thursday to ‘push the necessary legislative process forward.’ On Wednesday morning, Shinde and two other MLAs from the western state left the Radisson Blu hotel in Guwahati and went to the Kamakhya Temple.
Assam BJP MLA Sushanta Borgohain accompanied Shinde and his two other comrades.
Since June 22, Shinde and a few other MLAs have been camped out in Guwahati, resulting in a major political dilemma for Maharashtra and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) administration. Uddhav Thackeray has urged the dissident MLAs to attend negotiations on Tuesday.
