New Delhi: Delhi Police has issued two summons to Al-Falah University Chairman Javed Ahmad Siddiqui in connection with the Red Fort blast investigation and separate forgery and cheating cases linked to the university. Meanwhile, Faridabad Police have questioned more than 2,000 Kashmiri students and other tenants living in rented accommodations across the city.
Summons Issued In Cheating And Forgery Cases
According to officials, Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has registered two FIRs against Al-Falah University – one related to cheating and another involving alleged forgery. Both cases were filed following complaints from the University Grants Commission (UGC). After receiving the complaint, a police team visited the university’s Okhla office and sought official documents from the administration.
The Crime Branch confirmed that one FIR is based on violations under Section 12 of the UGC Act, while the second focuses on alleged fake accreditation claims made by the university. Both NAAC and UGC reportedly found “serious irregularities” in the institution. Faridabad CIA teams also visited the Okhla Trust premises and the owner’s residence to examine Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, and other documents of family members.
Over 2,000 Kashmiri Students Questioned In Faridabad
In a parallel development linked to the Red Fort blast case, Faridabad Police have intensified checks across the city. On Monday, teams visited multiple rented accommodations housing Kashmiri students and other tenants.
Authorities confirmed that more than 2,000 individuals have been questioned so far, as part of efforts to trace possible links to the terror module uncovered during the Red Fort blast investigation.
This interrogation drive follows the recovery of nearly 2,900 kg of explosive material from Faridabad and the arrests of several individuals associated with Al-Falah University.
