New Delhi, Jan 6: Air India CEO instructed the workers to report any inappropriate behaviour on aircraft after two peeing instances on Air India flights were reported, drawing harsh condemnation from the cabin crew.

According to news agency PTI, Air India CEO Campbell Wilson has instructed the airline’s workers to record similar events even if the situation seems to have been resolved.

The CEO’s remark follows another urination incident that was reported on Thursday. A drunk guy is accused of peeing on a female passenger’s blanket on an Air India aircraft between Paris and New Delhi on December 6.

He discussed the urinating event in an internal letter to airline personnel, noting that ‘the aversion felt by the affected passenger is perfectly understood and we share her pain.’

“This week has, regrettably, been dominated by media headlines with which you are no-doubt familiar. The repulsion felt by the affected passenger is totally understandable and we share her distress,” in a letter written to Air India employees, the CEO wrote.

On an Air India trip from New York to Delhi on November 26, a drunk passenger is accused of opening zip and peeing on a fellow traveller in the business class. The upset woman complained that Air India didn’t do anything to help, which prompted her to write a letter to Tata Group Chairman N Chandrashekaharan to describe her terrible experience. On Wednesday, the incident was reported.

The letter from the woman passenger, who is in her seventies, also made note of how ‘the airline denied and claimed her there were no seats available’ when she requested a different seat. One of the senior stewardesses gave her a small seat that was used by the airline workers, which she also objected to.
