Ranchi, Dec.11: The CCTV of Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) recorded a picture in which a stray dog was seen marauding with the head of a newborn baby near the trauma centre. It was getting to 8.36 am when the recording was done.
As this CCTV recording came into the knowledge of RIMS authorities and locality residents, the matter soon spread like wildfire and people started guessing from where the dog could have brought the head.
Deputy Superintendent of RIMS Dr Shailesh Tripathy confirmed the recording saying he had talked in this matter with the new trauma centre in-charge Dr P.K.Bhattacharya and security in-charge of RIMS.
“The matter is being investigated,” Dr Tripathy said.
This is not the first time such a scene was noticed on the RIMS campus. Earlier, a newborn was found in the bushes on the RIMS campus.
RIMS is a 1500-bed state run super specialty hospital. Such scenes bring its security arrangement and body disposal system under the scanner.
