Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth ₹13,000 crore in Gaya. During the event, he launched sharp attacks on the RJD and Congress. Meanwhile, RJD leader Manoj Jha mocked the Prime Minister’s Bihar visit, dubbing him “Jumla Ji”.
Opposition’s Counterattack
Manoj Jha said that while Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav’s Voter Rights Yatra is gaining momentum in the state, people’s real hopes are attached to that movement. “Here people are not saying Prime Minister Modi is coming, but they are saying Jumla Ji is coming. That itself is a big message,” he remarked.
Message for After Elections
The RJD MP added that the Prime Minister remembers Bihar only during election season. He urged that Modi should continue visiting even after polls, saying, “If our government comes to power, please don’t turn your eyes away.”
Comparison with Gujarat
Jha further criticized Modi’s focus on Gujarat, saying the Prime Minister must give equal attention to Bihar and its people. Referring to the frequency of Modi’s visits, he said it is now being counted how many times he comes for elections versus for non-election reasons.
