Rozgar Mela: PM Modi to hand over 75,000 appointment letters to new recruits today

Jamshedpur, Oct 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Rozgar Mela – the recruitment drive for 10 lakh personnel via video conference later in the day today.

During the ceremony, appointment letters will be handed over to 75,000 newly inducted appointees throughout the country.

Recruitment will take place across different ministries, departments, PSUs, autonomous bodies, education and health institutions etc. Prime Minister will also address the appointees on the occasion.

In the functions to be held at Kharagpur and Ranchi, around 480 appointment letters will be handed over to the newly inducted recruits for different posts in various ministries including railways, PSUs, autonomous bodies etc.

The posts on which appointments are being made include assistant loco pilots, guards, station masters, clerks, junior engineers, helpers, technicians, sub-inspector, constables, postal assistants, stenographers, junior accountants, inspectors, translators, chemical assistants, income tax inspectors, draughtsmen, motor drivers, teachers, nurses, lecturers, assistant commissioner, scientists etc.

These recruitments are being done in Mission Mode by ministries and departments either by themselves or through various recruiting agencies viz UPSC, SSC, RRB, RRC etc.

For expeditious recruitment, selection processes have been simplified and made tech-enabled, said a railway spokesperson of South Eastern Railway.
