New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday reserved its order in a case related to non-publication of criminal records related to candidates by political parties in Bihar elections. The petitioner had appealed in the SC that many political parties have not shared the information of their candidates. In such a situation, action should be taken against them.

The eyes of political parties are only on winning elections.

Said that the eyes of all the political parties are only on winning the elections. During the hearing, the Supreme Court said that the legislature is not expected to take any decision to stop such things. The court remarked that if the candidate comes out of jail and contests the election, he will win the election as he can kill anyone. In such a situation, we all should look at the larger issue.

Action should be taken against these political parties

Amicus Curie KV. Viswanathan informed the Supreme Court bench that the CPI(M) and NCP candidates did not disclose the criminal record. In such a situation, action should be taken on these political parties, other political parties should also be investigated. Harish Salve said that if the court imposes a fine on a political party, then it should not be symbolic like one rupee. We don’t want politicians to be seen posing for pictures while paying 1Re.

Congress, NCP, BSP and CPI(M) tender an apology before the Supreme Court

According to reports, Congress, NCP, BSP and CPI(M) have apologized before the Supreme Court in this matter, in which they have expressed regret for not disclosing the information of their candidates.
