SE Railway increases frequency of several trains to clear passengers’ rush

Jamshedpur, April 14: In an attempt to clear the extra rush of passengers, the South Eastern Railway has decided to increase the frequency of 18117/18118 Rourkela-Gunupur- Rajya Rani Express, 18622/18621 Hatia-Patna  Patliputra Express, 28181/28182 Tatanagar-Katihar-Express and 18043/18044 Howrah-Bhadrak Express.

 

The tri-weekly 18117/18118 Rourkela-Gunupur Rajya Rani Express will run daily from April 18

 

The tri-weekly 18622/18621 Hatia-Patna Patliputra Express will also run daily from April 18, as per a circular issued by Garden Reach, the Kolkata based headquarters of South Eastern Railway.

 

The bi-weekly 28181/28182 Tatanagar-Katihar Express will run thrice a week on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday from Tatanagar and Monday, Tuesday and Friday from Katihar with effect from April 17.

 

The 18043/18044 Howrah-Bhadrak Express which used to run six days a week will run daily from April 16.

 

Railway officials said the decision for increasing the frequency of trains will benefit passengers. It will also help in clearing the extra rush of passengers witnessed during the summer vacation.
