Dhanbad, Aug 30: Sindri girl Gitansi Singh, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, today tied Rakhi to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
6-year-old Gitansi Singh, a class-II student of MM Public School Gurgaon, was part of the student group that was selected to tie Rakhi to the Prime Minister.
The family members of Gitansi said that the Prime Minister held up her with both hands as she tied Rakhi to him and blessed her to achieve her goals. He asked her name and what she wished to be in life.
Gitansi Singh is the daughter of Raghvendra Singh, security manager of Solar Energy Power Gurgaon. She is the granddaughter of Vashistha Narayan Singh, a social activist of Sindri.
